Description

Pokémon Serene Crystal is a hack that aims to refresh the original Crystal experience. It introduces new gym leaders, incorporates Pokémon from later generations, and creates original regional forms. Along with these changes, there have been several quality-of-life enhancements that improve gameplay.

While the overall story remains largely unchanged, certain characters have undergone minor changes to ensure a more cohesive narrative. Aside from these changes, the game closely follows Crystal’s story.

Features

A remixed Pokedex, both of old and new Pokémon.
Better balancing, with a fixed* level curve.
2 new gym leaders, replacing old ones, and an older gym leader has been promoted to a higher gym.
HMs can be forgotten at any time.
A lot of Pokémon have had their sprites changed.
Various quality of life changes, such as the ability to run, Pokémon not dying from poison in the overworld, and evolutionary stones being available for purchase in Goldenrod.
A rebalanced type chart, aiming to buff weaker types, and slightly nerf stronger types.
Several weaker Pokémon have received stat boosts, and all Pokémon have improved movesets. All Pokemon, with the exception of Raichu, have had their stats updated to match Gen 7.
Every Pokémon can be evolved without the need for trading. Trade items can be used like stones.
There’s no badge boost anymore.
The Super Rod will be available in Blackthorn city.
Several moves from newer generations have been added.

*Tried to be as balanced as possible, with a less severe falloff. The levels of both wild and trainer Pokémon have been appropriately scaled, so there should be no shortage of EXP.
